The Bloom collection explores the anti-fragility of things. I'm fascinated with how some people are able to come back from devastating adversity. My wife, Kristy, has battled cancer for several years. No matter what knocks her down, she somehow manages to get back up. Her incredible strength has inspired these works. I chose the peony as a symbol of her resilience as I've watched these delicate flowers weather the harsh New England winters to come back stronger each year. My hope is that collectors of these prints will be encouraged to overcome whatever challenges come their way.
